This post is archived at this point, and I don't really use Reddit anymore, but I thought I'd give a sense of closure for it. Before that, I used my 256 for SA2B saves, as well as most saves, and I haven't had any corruption issues, so I think I can consider this case closed. Apparently, my 1019 has a ton a damaged memory, so you can only have a few files on it and anything saved after that is immediately corrupted.įinal Edit: I got a new 1019, and it works a lot better than the last one I got. I will delete this in soon.Įdit: I completely forgot about this, but now I know that the problem was that the file was corrupted, and it eventually just kept corrupting at some point until I used a different Memory Card, and I had no issues since. Also, this game introduced Shadow the Hedgehog, the ultimate life form. It comes with the addition of a Multiplayer Mode (Battle) & Game Boy Advance connectivity via the Game Boy Advance to Nintendo GameCube Link Cable. I still have no idea what that was about, but it works again. Sonic Adventure 2: Battle (JPJapanese: 2Romaji: Sonikku Adobench Ts Batoru) is remake of the Dreamcast game, Sonic Adventure 2. Basically, how do I get my memory card to save again?Įdit: I should've mentioned this much earlier, but Sonic Adventure 2 is saving again. It's possible that that game was affected as well. The only other game on the card is Metroid Prime, and when I checked, it seemed to be fine, though all I did was load the file select screen, then turned it off when it appeared. I wasn't notified of the file not being loaded this time, by the way. It was then I realized that not only was my save gone, but a new one wasn't created in it's place, or it was, and had the same fate. Here's the thing: I played through a bit of the game, turned it off because it was getting late, then decided to play it again today, only for all of the progress to be gone. Of course this sucked, but I wouldn't be asking for help had that been the issue, mainly because I believe that that file just doesn't exist anymore, so it would be pointless. Apparently, It was deleted at that point, which meant I would have to do it all over again.

I then checked the Memory Card menu, which showed that the file was gone. After getting the same error after finishing White Forest to ensure it saved (as I got in A rank in the former for the first time and didn't want it to go away), I went to options to load the file, but when I went there, I saw that it wasn't there, in it's place a file with no progress on it. I was playing SA2B last night, when after finishing Green Forest, it said that the file wasn't loaded.
